Not all clients allow you to follow hashtags and there’s no way in hell I’m paying for social media servers to shovel me content
At the very least, you can follow accounts with high quality content, and then follow the people they follow, to control your own feed.
You can also use relayable.org for a free relay that filters spam. They’re entirely donation-supported, so perhaps you may find it’s worth it to send a few sats their way after you’ve tried the service. Or perhaps not. But in either case, you’ll find that taking responsibility for your own feed will dramatically improve your experience here.

What sort of content are you interested in?
Do you like music, art, sports, tech, animals? Something else entirely?
Try searching hashtags (not even following, depending on your client). From there, look at who has posted and you might find people you’re interested in, or posts that you want to engage with in a fun or constructive way.
Many people add #grownostr to their posts on other topics, because this network is very young, and still has a fair amount of niche content. So we’re trying to help grow the subject matter as well as the user base.

Perhaps try contributing value, instead. (So far, your only posts are an intro and an apparent criticism of another user).
Do you have a passion or a talent for something?
Write a post about it. People will zap you, or comment and start a conversation. You might find that you meet people you like.
