YOU NEED TO MANUALLY DOWNLOAD YOUR FOLLOW LIST AND THEN IT SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY CHOOSE RELAYS TO FETCH NOTES FROM.

That seems like a more efficient way to choose relays in general instead of just starting with the most popular or whatever broad criteria. Relays get chosen based on who you follow.
