Agreed, humans need cheap and abundant power to thrive and if reducing carbon emissions was a priority we would all be using nuclear power!

Agree. It’s a fool’s game to think they will ever be satisfied with any amount of effort. The entire world runs on non-renewable energy, why should bitcoin be subjected to any other standard?
Energy consumed to secure Bitcoin is energy well spent. That’s it. That’s the end of the discussion.
