Bitcoin’s early stats are misleading since the price started at zero when hardly anyone understood or took it seriously. In 2011 the S&P500 was way more popular and commonly understood than Bitcoin (actually still is..!)

Instead of comparing those initial numbers to the S&P500, focus on the data from when you genuinely started engaging with Bitcoin.

Correct. The latest the comparison should begin is when Bitcoin had a market cap or average daily trading volume comparable to a liquid public equity (say, the smallest in the S&P 500). Before that, it was not investible... If you got your hands on it, it wasn't because of your investing prowess; it required much more than that.
