The prepper scene really got going, then, and Bitcoin got started and we bought silver coins and planted potatoes...
and then nothing really happened.
There was no BOOM effect, just a slow slide into complacency and €7 döner kebap.
I've still got my silver coins, dried beans, and toilet paper.

I was deployed for most of the worst of that time... So I don't really know how it was for people back in the US. But I heave heard many people talk about how awful that time was... 🤷♂️
