Does this at least result in a safe space for intellectuals where all the people scared of freedom are self-filtered out? Somewhere we can talk without being drowned out by idiots? No. Nostr isn't really designed to let you filter or curate your own feed, it's designed to funnel your attention to the Bitcoin maxi cult.
App devs use this as an excuse to have centralized Zuck style filters they can target me with, to hide my posts from people who would want to talk to me - instead of an opportunity to create decentralized filtering that would actually make #nostr usable for more of the people we want on nostr.
