Freedom is not free (and more expensive than 1000 sats one time) and we will see even more beloved relays close down overtime.

We need more plebs running their own relays and more clients doing relay discovery.

Thousands of people all relying on a handful of relays is not the winning formula for nostr. That is neither decentralized or censorship resistant or economically viable.

I agree that more people need to run nodes and I have been looking in to this myself, but following this guide will cost $48/m:

White list pubkeys you want to let write and read notes in the config file and you are all set !
