Not sure if this is how it works, but idea is if the market makers can push market down once a week and once a month to clean out leverage, it will just keep going up.

So if the bigger players let the gamblers go first and create a bubble, at some point they are incentivized to knock the floor out from the gamblers. And since there are multiple big players, they won't wait too long to do that or miss out.
