The job market is collapsing.. I know qualified people trying to get a job for a year now, many applications, no call backs..

That was what the Fed wanted, to lower demand and therefore cost of living.

They're just trying to stave off complete collapse until after the election.

Yep, as planned. Funny how you don’t see any mainstream media about it..

I’m calling it ‘the silent recession’..

They totally manipulated/buried it with part time blue-collar jobs in the last jobs report..

Yes, the hours work, wages per hour, and type of contract are declining. Companies are clinging to workers because the employee base is so thin and so many Boomers are retiring, but they're running out of steam.

Cutting hours is the last hail mary before layoffs. I don't think they're going to make it to November.

The money printer will be turned back on in July.

You need a year

For the money printer buy #bitcoin

Temporal mechanics are not quite a many attribute, is it, Jimbo?!

🤦

So y’all wanna get into thinking?

🤦

And what will we buy with that money, if everyone is sitting at home, unemployed?

🤔

Jobs, market bonds, oil, anything to keep this illusion alive..

If gas were to hit $6/7 a gallon for example, it’s instant recession depression..

The ECB has big infrastructure funds and they can't seem to find projects and workers to spend it on, so it just sits there.

Oil will continue to fall because of the effect of reduced production and unemployment.

I think we can expect real prices to collapse.

Typically gas prices fall into recession

But ultimately you’re right, the crack up fake boom of money printing will destroy all pricing

It's funny that you think we will get any meaningful amount of that fresh money.

It's funny that you think there is any amount of freshly-printed money that could be meaningful.

Haha it's meaningful if you have it

You would have to spend it extremely quickly. Funnel it all into Bitcoin, I suppose, hence the ETF. Hard to find other markets that can absorb excess currency that efficiently.

Didn't Lagard call it the "safety valve"?

She called the American ETF a safety valve? That's quite interesting if so

No, she called Bitcoin the safety valve.

That's even more interesting.

"escape" is what she called it. Just checked.

November seems pretty far out, they will either have to print a shit ton of money or the media will have to do some psycho 3D mental acrobatics..

My company has froze any salary increases for the last 2 years, while inflation is skyrocketing….

Yes, this is why I had to switch. Our salaries had been frozen for years.

It's getting harder to switch, now, because of the layoffs.

it is all fake.

fake economy.

fake employment numbers.

cars do not sell any more.

china is going down fast too.

all on purpose

communism

What you mean china is going down?

It’s absolute trash.

There's a shortage in trades where I'm at. Not sure everywhere else. I could hire 10 qualified people right now.

It's always like that. Until it isn't.

Skilled trades are always in demand🤙🏼

At least that is good to know.. But curious what happens (after the election?) when the real recession hits..

New president prints money

Likely, but it will need to be a lot..

Yes.

War with China, Iran or Russia, or all 3.

We don't have any munitions, tho.

Will we hold up weapons and say "pang pang" and "BOOM!" and wait for the opponents to die laughing?

It will be interesting to see the real recession take place forsure. Many will get left behind financially in the fiat world.

Many more office workers will be deleted as technology advances, that has already taken place and will continue to get worse, in turn, there will also be lots of people looking for work and most of these people have no idea what real hard labour is.

They may end up getting hired somewhere, but most are so used to sitting on a chair all day. Lots of companies already have revolving doors and can’t retain employees for more than a couple weeks. I think this will only get worse.

There’s definitely no shortage of labour positions, just no one wants to work anymore.

Sooo many commercial buildings sitting vacant right now, and IMO I think that will only get worse….

Germany is in the recession already. There was a hiring boom in the trades and services, and then their customers went broke.

There's work to be done, everywhere, but it just sits there.

Which job market are we talking about? Tech? Trades?

Large corporations and tech, yes. Full time white collar stuff

And a lot of them have learned about all the indeed and linked in AI BS that gets put out about the jobs too, there is no small market for my business to serve anymore , barely any mids left that are not servicing governemnt contracts either. It looks like the rest of the folks are about to realize what most of us have experienced the last three years, depression . #the nostr started helping me to fix this early last year , at least I have this hope to hold onto as the last frontier . I worry for the next couple of years. Now is likely a good time to sell your real estate if you can. 2025 onwards might look sharply different from the last few years. #econ #thoughts
