I’ve officially retired my Trezor wallet. It had a good run. 👌🏻

I'm using my trezor 1 until i die
Lol are you memeing or being serious? If serious, why?
Lol until you die. Can you imagine the adapters you would be required to use in 60 years?
I still have mine, but I needed to upgrade to a Model T for Monero support.
Which signing device will you use from now on?
Currently cold card mk4 / Nunchuk / sparrow but really liking the “mountain man” features in the upcoming Q1
I’m sold on the coinkite product line in general for multi sig
I also think micro sd airgap is a solid standard for myself. I do like NFC and QR Code scanner feature but at minimum, micro sd airgap will be my baseline moving forward.
What’s the best use case for retired hardware wallets? Share it with others to play around with in orange pilling?
If my son was old enough I would use it as a teaching tool. But I may consider orange pilling a friend or give to a friend who can guide their kids with it.
I think the wallet itself is not a gift but the freedom it unlocks with use is very much the 🔑
Agreed, I think that’s what they’ll all eventually be used for. To mess around with and learn without ever using it to sign for substantial amounts.
Just to P.S. this note.
There is nothing wrong with my T-1. I liked the product and the company.
I’ve gotten comfortable with the wallet technology that has developed in the past few years. To me the features are a benefit to how I use Bitcoin and therefore outweigh my Trezor necessity. 🤙🏻
