Community starts in the home. The best everyday thing we can do for the good of our society is to make our homes centers of community.
My dream is for my home to be the place friends and family can always drop by unannounced for coffee or tea or just to say hello.

Espresso or pour-over?
Growing up on a family farm I saw this family dynamic diminish over time as tech began to pull the long-standing structure apart.
It seems one of the things that has happened is people move more often for college, jobs, etc., and so everyone ends up living around strangers rather than old family friends and familiar faces.
We should bring back sitting rooms and dedicated spaces for entertaining unexpected guests
