I like the idea of a sailboat big enough to live in. You can travel the world and bring your home with you. With an RV I’d be stuck on my own continent. My wife wants the RV though

You can still leave the country in your RV if you needed to though. You could even ferry your RV.
All I want for Christmas is a Bereg UP-5 tent with the optional winter floor and a woodstove.

If you have to! Obviously you can’t take all the contents of your house.
Even when living in an RV, packing in one night would be very challenging, unless you're perpetually camping, and never settling in to a place.
