I-bonds make sense when you are still thinking in a Fiat paradigm.

Once you realize all you’re doing is supporting the largest Ponzi in history at the opportunity cost of purchasing the best money the world has ever seen, all bonds seem worthless.

Any security where the US Dollar value is considered the floor" is actually sinking in quiksand. Unless it's making 15%, it's losing money.
