Haha yeah but the people who staked it. Will they be able to unstake it or will they just lose it? Just wondering what will happen

its been ended for US clients only - the staking platform is still available in other countries and people in the US will be able to unstake it.

So Kraken has to pay it out of their own pokets, as their staked tokens are locked ?

well its centralised right so technically they can push back. alternatively will unlock and be able to retrieve but with no passive income.
