If these numbers are correct…. How are there still so many collecting social security benefits over the age of 100????

I can totally believe in 300 year old people, but according to America, there aren't this many total Americans. 🤷‍♂️

Is this what Elon was talking about with 150 year olds?

Pretty sure

~15% of eligible is a lot. The cost probably still pales in comparison to similar DoD costs.

Source?

Elon musk

Thanks, that helped me find it.

"According to the Social Security database, these are the numbers of people in each age bucket with the death field set to FALSE!" - https://xcancel.com/elonmusk/status/1891350795452654076#m

Does that necessarily mean that those folks are getting checks? Or could there be other gates along the way to the payment? Regardless, it is worth following up and I hope they do.

I’m not saying the scope of the SSI corruption isn’t this big or can’t happen…

But maaaaybe whomever collected the data and/or built the spreadsheet is just an idiot? I mean, this is the government we’re talking about.

And they’re using AI to find/collect this data, which is naive at best in its discernment.

And then the DOGE + Musk has an incentive to keep the headlines coming.

Musk has never proven to be a source worthy of trust. Why start now?

I doubt they're using AI at all to find/collect/summarize.

Lots of security reports claim the contrary.

Several articles detail just what they are using, here’s the first search result: https://gizmodo.com/elon-musks-doge-running-highly-sensitive-government-data-through-ai-report-2000560381

The incompetence is likely far worse than either of us could even imagine.

Gizmodo says WaPo says two people say. Nice neutrol point of view from gizmodo there . That's non-zero evidence but is there any more?

Also, if you are managing grants for the federal goverment, why would that be secret? What is "sensitive internal financial data" in this context?

It sounds like people believe that what the public government does should be secret and what private individual do should be public. The opposite should be true.

No doubt Congress should be taking down these unconstitutional agencies, not executive action, but the executive is in charge of executing, is it not?
