Americans are riddled with health issues directly attributed to our diets which could be resolved over time by e.g., allowing our beef and corn to actually be priced at the real market rate.

It would drive a lot of fast food out of business because it would be unaffordable to operate.

The pressure would reduce on our healthcare system over time.

But people wouldn't be able to eat a Big Mac/chicken nuggs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You don't want to upset the people. They like what they like.

I'm still waiting for someone to show me the economics of how I can buy chicken at 25 cents per pound when you have to hatch and feed them for 8 weeks.

Even if the feed and energy was free the math just doesn't work. Someone's gotta pay to transport, slaughter, process, package, and transport them to grocery stores too.
