I hate it when that happens. Usually for me it happens after I cut my nails because I guess I cut the skin a bit. So I've started wiping my nails with alcohol after to prevent any infections.

You can try a warm compress or something to ease the pain, but I don't have any other tips besides mental fortitude. Maybe antibacterial cream and a bandaid too.

Do you have a tiny drill bit? Or needle? Sterilize and twist it by hand into the infection. Drill bit needed on nails if the infection is under the nail. It will puke but the pressure will go away.

I dont have a nail infection but i almost cut my fingers off with an industrial heat sealer luckily they didn't get cut off buttttt my ring finger nail bed split in 2 and sometimes it hurts hahah
