Thinking about it some more, this can be much simpler. Could just do :plebchain: in the body which would reference a tag “emoji-plebchain” that contains the emoji image url.

Whenever your client sees a custom emoji like this it can add it to its local emoji library for use.

Yes. Same for notifications to home. It works smooth from post to post & replies.
