It’s not everyone pretending to be friends.
It just empathy, being human, and having decent interactions. And I think it’s more rewarding.
Personally, I’m not interested in trying to convince anyone of something regarding religion or politics.

If you don't want to convince anyone of your beliefs, that means you don't think your beliefs are good enough to spread.
That’s your perception. I just think that my energy is a valuable resource, that I choose to invest elsewhere.
It is possible to believe something and not feel like you have to foist those beliefs on others. It doesn’t come from lack of conviction in your beliefs. Rather respect for another’s autonomy of thought.
There’s something to be said about not always needing to be right or win the argument. Don’t need to be that person who’s arguing all the time with friends it kills the vibe. Not worth the energy trying to convince people even if you know your right.
Agreed. I have found that just living my own life, being happy, smiling, and laughing is much better at attracting people. Sometimes they become curious - “why the fuck is that guy always smiling and floating around like he farts fairy dust.”
Then, they are in a position to listen and learn and if they want to know what makes me happy, how I view freedom and attempt to achieve it, they may decide to make changes in their own lives. Or they may say that Im a crazy kook who lives like a turtle.
I have found that trying to force my views on others is a complete waste of time. Instead I live it, exude it, and if one is interested, I teach it.
