It's so fun. Whisper blew my mind when she was a puppy. Since she can't hear, she watches everything. I'd be talking to someone & look over to see her staring at me, moving her mouth like she was barking but no sound was coming out. It took me a while to realize she was copying me. Once that clicked, it was like unlocking her superpowers. Now she does all sort of crazy stuff I never knew I could teach a dog could do. It's extra fun since all of our communication is through hand signals & facial expressions (now some flashcards too I guess). It's a challenge for me, coming up with stuff to teach her and the signals to communicate it. Not such a big deal when it's nice out & we can play outside but she gets depressed & chunky over the winter months if I don't keep her mind busy lol
