"I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet."?

That reasoning seems rooted in the created order.

I'm not trying to be argumentive. genuinely asking what kind of pasterhood are you arguing for? I think this is an issue that both sides tend to talk past each other. Timothy was taught from an early age by his mother and grandmother after all.
