At first, for some reason, I thought that Vince Zampella had been killed, but after reading the details… The man was thrown out of Ferrari when it hit a concrete barrier. That means he most likely wasn't wearing a seat belt. Not that it would have helped him much. The driver was pinned inside the car. The outcome for both was tragic.
