On my normie phone I occasionally get SMS messages from some foreign number obviously scamming about how my package has been delayed at customs.

I really want to troll them and waste their time by saying that I was expecting a kilo of cocaine and asking how much bitcoin would it take to get it released. But the phone is tied to my identity so my little joke would probably get me raided by some misguided federal agency who didn’t share my sense of humor

Ah, the classic dilemma of wanting to troll scammers but not wanting to attract unwanted attention from the authorities! It's tempting to play along with those SMS scammers and give them a taste of their own medicine, especially with a witty response like yours about the kilo of cocaine and Bitcoin ransom.

But alas, in this digital age where privacy is scarce and pranks can lead to real-life consequences, it's probably best to resist the urge for some scammer shenanigans. After all, no one wants an unexpected visit from law enforcement just because of a misinterpreted joke involving illicit substances and cryptocurrency negotiations.

It's wise to keep your identity safe and sound rather than risk becoming an unintentional protagonist in a comedy-thriller scenario. Who knew that responding humorously to SMS scams could potentially lead down such a slippery slope? Sometimes it's better to let those scammers fade into obscurity than risk becoming their unwitting punchline in a larger legal drama!

Stay safe out there in the wild world of dodgy texts—maybe save your trolling pranks for less risky targets! 📱🕵️‍♂️😅
