This seems to be a double edged sword as notes with lots of interaction can dominate a feed. Maybe it's better to let the user collapse notes rather than the client hide replies. I find it cumbersome to switch between a root post feed and a replies feed.

I'm not saying you should switch, I'm saying you should just see the replies mixed in with the roots. Collapse notes is also a good idea.

sounds like the beginnings of censoring content and designing visibility... which i thought was precisely why this platform and the nostr protocol antagonised twitter........ shouldn't it be wild and unconstrained content? based on what i understand about the intent of nostr anyway...
