Today marks the day I discarded another lie I've been told most of my life. This one was about how bad raw milk is for you, but thanks to a podcast from the Proof of Health podcast on fountain by nostr:npub1lelkh3hhxw9hdwlcpk6q9t0xt9f7yze0y0nxazvzqjmre3p98x3sthkvyz which discussed how good raw milk is for you, I went out and bought 2 gallons from a local store that sold raw milk. Oh, it's delicious! I had some a few years ago while visiting a monastery on Shaw Island, WA, but was still worried about whether raw milk was going to do something bad to me. Now, I am finally over that fear, and will embrace the deliciousness and great benefits of raw milk. Thank you, nostr:npub1lelkh3hhxw9hdwlcpk6q9t0xt9f7yze0y0nxazvzqjmre3p98x3sthkvyz! Keep up the good work!!

YES!! Raw Milk changed my life 2 years ago, it’s wonderful!

Been drinking it for more then a decade. I’ve had lactose intolerant friends enjoy it without problems. I’ve recently been thinking of doing a milk fast, just to see what happens.

Sounds good. I've been talking with a friend who is lactose intolerant and he may give it a try.

Unpasteurized goat milk is an easy first step for lactose intolerance iirc.

Thank you. I'll let him know.

I don't quite understand this one. Ive never heard that unpasteurized milk is bad for you, just that the bacteria CAN make you sick. I've always thought about it like ground beef. I've never gotten sick from undercooked hamburger but I think it's possible and probably happens to people pretty regularly. Not cooking it doesn't make it healthier, it just adds a small element of risk for a tastier burger.

Obviously milk and beef are different but I think people over estimate the benefits of raw milk because they think the government ban is part of a conspiracy to deprive people of something they think is "too beneficial for the average person to consume." In reality it's more likely a heavy handed (as all government action is) attempt to prevent children from getting sick.

Anyway sorry for the rant. If you find that raw milk is benefiting you, more power to ya. The option should be there for people who want it.

Awesome!! Drank it straight from the udder. My friend has a cow and milks for me on demand. It’s delicious. As long as

The process is clean, it’s great.

Very cool. Yes, I agree on a clean process.

Btw what monastery did you vist ?

It's the Benedictine Monastery. I think it was run by 6 nuns. My daughter was there for 6 months as an intern. It's a wonderful place.
