I had to act liked I liked them when I was around my step brothers because the one that was 8 years younger than me was obsessed with them
78 and 79 used to be considered part of that divide.
So...
GI Joe ++good = GenX
Power Rangers ++good = Millenial
Telletubbies ++good = GenZ
I think this is spot on. You could swap out GI Joe with He-Man and this would still work.
transformers would be a more well known example i think of gen-x preteen cartoons... and maybe He-Man and the spinoff She-Ra... and Cabbage Patch Kids and Rainbow Brite and Strawberry Shortcake... and we had the first cartoon version of the Lord of the Rings... oh yes, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, Star Wars

I think it has to do a lot with where you were raised too. If you grew up somewhere that you weren't infatalized you get shifted toward GEnX
