Grew up around a ton of black locust trees, and while I love them, they are the sole reason I learned to fix a flat tire on my bike by the time I was 6 years old.

Grew up around a ton of black locust trees, and while I love them, they are the sole reason I learned to fix a flat tire on my bike by the time I was 6 years old.

If you grow them from the start you can pull the thorns off of the trunk with pliers (I learned to snap them off with my fingers). Once gone they never grow back.
This doesn't cover the fallen branches however, but it does completely clean off the trunk.
