If you are talking about the manual free uploads from our home page, we limited it to nostr only users, so you need to act like you are creating an account, get to the payment page, and don’t pay, then go to the home page again and it will be available.
All integrated services are still free with no additional steps: Damus, Amethyst, YakiHonne, Coracle.social, Snort, Amethyst, Primal soon!

We already optimize all uploads (if you let us) before they are shared. Final step is video, which I’ve been working on for a while
Optimized is 20MB to 200KB. Dude's profiles load in 5 seconds, Girl's profiles aren't done loading after several minutes, or with refresh. Use netlimiter to slow yourself to 100KB then load some profiles, you'll see, not optimized.
Everyone uses different hosts, NB is not the only one. We have a special pfp.nostr.build endpoint that serves only optimized shit. So, in short, decentralized and disorganized is the theme here 😂

I managed to register a free account after jumping few hoops using the DM login.
On the main account page it just says "loading" as seen in screenshot.
I managed to upload an image on front page but it does not show up on account page.
Under profile is says "Your NPUB Unverified" and im not sure how to.
We do not have a concept of free account as of yet, therefore accounts page is only usable by people with the plan. That is still something we need to work on and implement in the future. Generally you are not required to register for an account to upload from any of the clients that use us as their media hosting. It just works as is without you needing to worry. The account only becomes useful when you absolutely have to use web page to upload the media. Hope I was able to explain it sufficiently 🫡
Reason i registered was to try out the service before committing to a yearly plan.
