Apple is a private company and they can do very well without nostr users. And I don't think they will give in just because a fraction of their customers want so.

What I wonder is, where's all the "freedom" talk gone when it comes to this topic? Why this make yourself dependent on one manufacturer attitude when they obviously fight a political war against this whole Bitcoin-Nostr movement?

Why not turn to GrapheneOS development instead and make it better? It would also add a critical component to the whole Bitcoin/Nostr ecosystem with which much more would be possible in the future.

I am not proposing that they would ever give in. We are in agreement.

I was just saying Apple is a very dominant platform and their product is phenomenal. Despite our personal quandaries with their system, we should leave Damus on there until there is sufficient amounts of people to cultivate something truly free. Something that is as good for beginners as it is for nerds.
