Hitting PR’s in the gym is super addictive.

Still not to my goals yet, but feels good to see consistent improvement.

How does one get motivated to workout?

Hardest part is starting. When you grind past the first two weeks of aches and pains and start seeing results its very easy to want to workout.

I only work out when I have some lofty goal that requires it, eg summiting a ring of fire dormant volcano. Otherwise why work out?

You don't. You just grind until you turn it into a habit. Then you will feel withdraw when you don't.

Best you can do to make it easy to get there is use a passing bout of motivation to get through the habit forming phase and pick something you think is fun.

Just make it a habit

It’s harder for me mentally not to workout…

You just have to do it for that long it becomes normal.

Look in the mirror? This is not intended to be ugly.

So true I just did 245 on the bench with a goal of 305 before the year is out !!!

When you hit some goals later this year let us know I'll mail you the rainbow barbell to go with your plates. Have pride in those gains!

Sadly I'm so old now that I have to be content with hitting PR's 'for my age'. Looking at my deadlift PR from a few years ago makes me sick....

Just a suggestion

Change the goal from "Eddie Hall" to "Joe Stockinger"

Nice 🤙🏼 what type of training you doing?

Just standard weight lifting. Mix of machines, barbells etc…

Life without progress is a stagnated complacent existence 💪

Hell yeah, just hit a 117.25 kg squat today for five reps (the barbell is 17.25 kg) 🫡
