On a similar note, I had goals of immigrating to the US, because it was cool and freedom, etc, but the more I learned about it, to the point where I'd be more of an American than an American, I got dismayed to the point of deciding not to go immigrate there.

Then I started thinking "Well, which other country should I aim for that shares my values?". Turns out there were non.

What did I realize?

Live the life of freedom wherever you are, expand and enhance it whenever you can, be cautious (since there's always threats against you because of your desire for freedom), see if you can get plan b,c,d, etc (see if you can get more than 1 passport), and have fun where you can =3
