you can’t have organised crime around something that isn’t illegal
…and yet, we certainty do. It’s legal to grow in Oregon. People get their licenses. Then other people come out to the middle of nowhere to intimate them. There are shakedowns. The sheriffs office usually does nothing because they probably get money from it or know the people. (or at least according tot he people I talked to a while back .. I’ve never lived in middle-of-nowhere Oregon, so maybe they’re making it all up :blobcatshrug: )
I think part of the issue might be the fact that it has to be grown indoors in order to get the highest yields year round. Outdoor, even with auto-flowering plants, just isn’t going to be as viable out there (I’m not sure if it’s even profitable). Even in Nevada, you’ll see a huge indoor farm where the road splits from Parum to Death Valley. A tow truck driver told me they build the thing first and then tried to get electricity out to it later, which turned into its own nightmare. (There were lines, but getting it connected with their power requirements got into a bunch of crap).
Neat video … there was this horticulture student in my university. He once pulled out this book and was like “see this plant, it’s an x and if you chew it, it will get you high … see this, if you strain the leaves in alcohol, you can make a syrup that can make you high … you see this…” … he went on for a bit.
