In the movie "Being There" released in 1979, there's a scene where the main character meets Rand, a successful businessman dying from a blood disease. Rand is in a custom hospital room made in his basement when he gives a talk to the main character about how he "Needs Young Blood To Survive", and is quite literally getting blood transfusions from young donors. I can't find a clip of it but it's very prescient, that whole movie is incredibly on point.

Apparently the rich people getting blood transfusions because they think it'll make them immortal has been a thing since at least the 60's. Maybe it does something, but more likely just crooked doctors ripping off some of the worst people in the world, which I wholeheartedly support.
