After attempting to nostrpill some normies I found it's easier to convince them of Nostr than it is Bitcoin until you get to the onboarding. Explaining things like Private/public key pairs has been a deal breaker both times. Are there any projects you're aware of that are working on something that can ease onboarding?

The onboarding process of the Current app is fantastic, the best I've seen so far and I'm hoping this should make things all that much easier for people. Their app isn't ready yet for mass use though. It needs a bit more stability.

I agree, I find the process simple too. I hope it didn't come across as a criticism. I just mean the normies I've spoken to have been much more receptive to a social media protocol like Nostr than they were when I tried explaining Bitcoin. Since they're not into Bitcoin they're not aware or knowledgeable about key pairs and the benefits and risks associated with them and were immediately warded off. I think Nostr can act like a Trojan horse to onboard normies at unprecedented levels if the process can be simplified into something they're more familiar with.
They still have to deal with keys. But we made is as seed words that is something stored on your device…! We also created this guide for easy onboarding.. https://i.current.fyi/help/guide.pdf

I can't wait! Your app is the only one that I would say would be good enough for my wife to use, once it's all stable :) Seriously, your UI is fantastic.
I stopped trying to 'convince' normies to any bitcoin or other crypto related things. They build their opinion already on what they have heard in the truth telling media.
