No. If you have a job that aligns with who you are and what you want out of life, work can be enjoyable. Especially if it also includes fun and kind coworkers.
I used to be a hotel receptionist at a special hotel. I loved it. Sure there were days with too much grind or being paired with someone obnoxious which wasn't fun.
However, I also only did it 6 months per year, which allowed me to recover before going back in.
For me, the thought of doing it full time, being stuck in one place with only a 3 week vacation or such, sounds awful!
Now I'm an author with my husband and we're able to go anywhere while still getting work done, which aligns way better for us than a traditional job/employee type situation.
But attitude also matters, and if I focused on the negative or hard things it was much harder than when I focused on the good or positive things I experienced each day.
