Question of the Day:

Why do you post on NOSTR or any social network for that matter?

I imagine most people post to be apart of a community and conversation on a topic. That was my reason. But do you need a some kind of engagement metric (like/repost/zaps) to know that it was received and valued? What if none of that comes? How long do you continue to post? Maybe my thoughts are not interesting or unique? Maybe I don’t have enough followers or use the right hashtags? At times it feels as if I’m posting to no one but myself. 🤷🏼

Not looking for a sympathy likes just curious of others take on posting to zero feedback.

People replying often have value to add to my notes

I post for a few reasons... connecting with interesting accounts, helping test, promote, and give fb on awesome privacy-focussed open source projects, but mainly I post to help others understand the inportance of and navigate the waters of privacy and security with actionable advice.

You joined Feb 29th, right? Give it time.

Keep posting and engaging. Post valuable/interesting notes and be sure to engage with the comments (likes or zaps or both) as well as other people's posts.

Venture into the dark waters of global once in a while to find others in the same boat or on the same vibe.

Look to see who the accounts you respect/follow are following and follow and engage with them.

I post for myself. Like a public journal cataloging how I felt at the time or timestamping something I found interesting. For my own feedback.

I reply to share the love that others have shown me.
