I hate when US politicians say "For our Democracy" no it isn't our democracy, it's your democracy and is a very corrupt and bastardize version at that.

No lies in their speech, only small omissions. When they say its "our democracy" they do mean its their democracy. If other people misinterpret that, then thats on them.
