the sanitation facilities in those buildings are often routed through a central shaft. Buildings in this style are really expensive and difficult to arrange in suites that have windows and bathroom access.

Problem is that the Mortgages are hypothecated into mortgage backed securities. The mortgage backed securities have been used all over the place as collateral for other loans (money creation) and balance sheet assets. When those go the dollar goes and the economy inverts. They are a time bomb. When the music stops the suckers holding, and we the people, are in a heap of trouble.
