it's the distros that are the problem, mainly, and i think the kernel devs are a bit culpable as well
linux went woke when linus stopped being salty and the whole project got coopted by DEI bullshit, and the kind of mentality of people who are woke are not even aware of the history of repeated attempts to quietly roll out back doors that especially Intel are guilty of, or the number of bugs that they baked into silicon
there's a reason why us AMD fans are salty, and why conservative developers have an axe to grind with the tech establishment
my grievances go all the way back to the asset stripping of Commodore at the peak of the Amiga's history, my endless hours of suffering with microsoft's monopoly operating system, to the point where i literally started to work as a tech because i knew that there was an endless supply of people with problems with it

idk why this guy likes firefox tho, i'm very happy with brave, it's one of the few fixtures in my kit that has been reliable for now going on 5 years, and it puzzles me why nobody else in browser dev has implemented a feature like Brave Sync. despite their shitcoinery they do actually seem to care about security and privacy... i'm glad they have managed to keep abreast of the endless attacks on users with their work, but hell i'd probably pay a subscription for a premium version that has some extra features and polish
