I'm playing Pokemon ZA (don't ask me how :wolf_eyes:), I think I know why Pokémon fans are loving it and it's fairly simple: they never played real time RPGs before.

Tho as I already played Nights of Azure, I don't think I would like Pokemon ZA
You play as a badass MC while you have your "pokemons" summoned to support you
I wouldn't call Z-A an action RPG, but that's probably what it is. At the end of the day, different from Azure, you're still just standing there inputting commands for a single Pokémon. It’s pretty mindless, honestly, even more so than the traditional turn-based format. There’s not much you can do with this new format, since the gameplay is already barebones. If the combat had any real depth, maybe it could make something out of it, like combos.
By the way, my reasoning being that calling anything in this game "action" is an insult to action itself :wolf_eyes:
