Skiing and snowboarding are fun. Those of you who’ve been doing it long enough know shit can go wrong in a heartbeat no matter what expert level you think you are.

Today a woman faceplanted hard and was knocked unconscious. Fortunately someone saw it and acted quickly, directed ski patrol and called in a helicopter medevac.

I’ve just heard the woman is in hospital and still unconscious.

Oh no! :( sorry to hear. It’s definitely not without its risks…thinking of introducing the little one to skiing this year but always nervous

I think it’s much like driving. Accidents happen and there are many ways to prevent serious injuries. Proper gear, knowing your limits and paying attention to surroundings is a good start. I think the little man will do fine🙂 he’s a smart kid.

Thank you! We’re gonna start with lessons together! I haven’t skied in many years. And I think I’m too old to get back into snowboarding lol
