That's a very interesting angle. That people aren't testing the limits their overlords set. Because there are none.

I suppose you could say that it's human nature to want to test boundaries and push against them, but when those bounds don't exist, what is there to rebel against? The idea of "pushing back" becomes meaningless in a vacuum devoid of any external influence.
