Who thought changing the UI for iris.to to default to "blind-you bright mode" was a good idea? Ouch. 😭😭😭

Bright mode belongs to the era of 40lb CRT monitors and scanlines.

Opened the app and was like, who did this

Light mode is better for your eyes. Monitors should never be the main source of light in the room. Don't trust me, verify.

Welcome to the dark side

agree. dark mode is the way.

Light during day, dark at night.

heathen. 🀣

Nope

Dark during day, dark at night. πŸ€–

The title of my biography

Every website should have a day/auto/night toggle button easily accessible.

Dark mode is a nightmare if you are in a bright environment with glossy screen.

Twitter takes 5 clicks to change the day/night setting!

When horses?

and no way to change back to dark, ugh

Yeah very weird that there's no option in settings, or just on the sidebar. You know anything about this, #[4]? πŸ™

Will add

Sorry, I'll add a theme selector to settings πŸ˜€ It's using your system dark / light preference, but I believe Tor browser hides that information.

πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Made dark theme default and added a selector. The selection is even saved to nostr, so Tor browser users can persist it without local storage.

(obviously testing in production again)

If you're logged in on 2 devices and change the theme, it changes on both πŸ‘€

I can see! I can see! It's beautiful, I can see again!

I use an OLED display, and switch as much as I can to #000 high contrast themes. Nothing better than typing commands into a inky, obsidian void.
