One thing I really appreciate about the #Coldcard Q is (A) the embrace of NFC over bluetooth, (B) a full qwerty keyboard, and (C) regular ol' batteries.

Yeah… Built in batteries is a disaster waiting to happen for a lot of folks.

Ironically, you end up with a bigger kit because you're hauling around portable power bricks and plugging into "trust me bro" USBc power.

NFC is wild

On balance, it makes so much more sense than bluetooth and even QR in many contexts.

NFC is the way, especially for mobile devices. Other options like QR, and MicroSD cards are still necessary for maximum compatibility across systems, but you really can't beat NFC for quick and efficient signing.

No pairing like bluetooth, and much much tighter attack surface.

Ya, the Bluetooth functionality on several hardware wallets always bothered me. On the Jade you can download a special "no Bluetooth" firmware to completely disable Bluetooth functionality, which is cool, but it really shouldn't have Bluetooth to begin with. It sho9br disabled by default, with the option to enable it by flashing a special firmware. As you say, it's just too big of an attack surface. Ideally, these devices should be NFC, QR, and MicroSD only. Anything else is putting your seeds in potential jeopardy.
