Basically all freedom tech hinges on if we can get users to hold keys.

I wonder if there exists some solution based on biometric key derivation which would turn the "hodl your own keys" requirement into a "be your own keys" situation.

no doubt robbers would resort to cutting off victim's biometric appendages to get at the funds. can't cash out at the eye scanner without at least one of the eyballs ...
