There is a **lot** of corruption in #btc and I’ve been offered all manner of things.
Mainly goes back to trading my glorious self for #BTC … men ( and sometimes even their wives or girlfriends 👯♀️) support this.
Don’t get me wrong, I can handle being flirted with. I’m talking about drunk, and or drugged people being malicious evil humans. That’s never gonna fly with me. Ever.

From my experience, nostr is the least "game" of any social media I have experienced.

When reading your history, I think you started too late 😅 unless you skipped parts.
I think my first place was MySpace, and back then you had a lot of customisation options (I wrote a lot of HTML and CSS for my myspace page) and zero algorithms, as far as I remember.
Your feed was just a chronological soup if posts from the people you followed (or, "were friends with" as it was called)
Then mark suckalot entered the game and took it over, and it all went straight downhill from there.
Suddenly, "engagement" was the ruler of your feed.
And then, this metric was monetized.
This move didn't only fuck up social media, it killed society as we knew it.
People were starting to rage bait to farm "interest" and money.
Then crypto came along to amplify scam artists 1000x
And we ended up with things like Hawk Tuah coin.
To me, #nostr is the antidote to all of this.
We reclaim chronological feeds.
We reclaim the absence of "sponsored posts"
We measure engagement in a decentralised, ungovernable currency.
This is why I am clinging to this network - and I think it has a chance to grow with everyone who is just burned out with how things are elsewhere.

Ima just different than many in my generation. Saw the scam of Facebook early & was posting content like: YOU ARE THE PRODUCT years ago then realized it was wasted energy. Many didn’t care.
Same as with what happened at Twitter. When everyone was leaving for Blue Sky & other places:
me: you’re willingly allowing yourself to be transferred into more cyber train cars for more brain washing
All perfectly timed & my most portent messages blocked out ( shadow banned ) so it benefited others. Think political candidates etc. this infuriated me.

It was all just migrating to the next lesser evil.
This is why I'm so thankful for this place. The user has choice once again. And the whole development feels like reliving the early internet days again 🥹
Hopefully. 🤞 goal is to rebuild the internet better but convincing others of what has been taken is harsh truth. How to convey it.

Rarely do new years resolutions but this year I have one. I want to do more art or music and level myself more.
Try to read even less news, even though I am already quite effective and rarely know what's going on 😄 I want to make this zero haha

I don't have a concrete plan yet, but I acquired some gear to make music over the last decade without ever really using it. I want to change that.
About drawing, I am even less sure. I love pixel art and would like to get more skilled there. Even made an online drawing app..
But I'm afraid I lf I try to use it I will find lots of bugs and then be back coding again 😂
