I think your nip-05 is linked to your npub and not your username. I think it should be fine but I’m not 100% sure

I changed my NIP-05 a few times before I got my own domain set up as verification. You can change your name and NIP-05 as much as you want, your npub/nsec combo are your unique identifiers.

Checkout https://metadata.nostr.com/ and look at all the data fields for your profile (and make a backup).
