I have a generac whole home backup generator that runs on natural gas.

Does anyone else have one of these?

Have you thought about ordering a cache of spare parts in case something goes during an emergency and you can’t get parts?

Do you mean a backup for your backup?

I don't own one, but I've worked on them.

It's often issues with the battery if there are any.

Last time it just needed new terminals and the connections cleaned.

You could even keep a spare battery around on a good quality battery maintainer.

I'm looking at getting additional lpg tanks installed on my land. Each 2k tank has enough gas for a year. With more tanks, if i add a generator too (that converts lpg to electricity), i can be self-sovereign for years.

Link to supplier?

I have two 22kw Generacs + solar. I have -not- thought to have parts in hand. I have ~2,000 gallons propane on-site. Solar (30kw) will power most of my home during the day.

I don’t have this particular brand, but did roll with the full zombie apocalypse generator setup. Spare parts procured 🫡

Assume you did the same?
