Robosats won't let me past the account creation. Clicking anything gives me an error and a stacktrace in my TOR Browser. The clearnet link got stuck creating the robot. Was showing a changing robot indefinitely. Firefox that is.

My LN sats sit in Phoenix, so I'd need to get liquidity with some other wallet first, too.

All that friction is a bit frustrating.

i use it in brave, i think that most of what is added to tor browser is for the viewing clearnet via tor use case not for darkweb sites

it works great, and anyway, you gotta use SEPA or Revolut or something anyhow, really you only hide your IP from the robosats webserver, so i see no reason to be worried about the missing security features between tor browser and brave - and brave is pretty hard core antifingerprinting and whatnot

i have a xapo card anyhow, couldn't be happier with it except for being able to send sats to it via LN

unless you are going for full on trace avoidance the whole nine yards just use brave to access it

Works for me on Android with Tor Browser, or even better on Desktop with Tor Browser. If it gets stuck a page refresh helps most of the time. If you run Umbrel you can also self host the frontend easily which makes it much more reliable and fast. The UX def needs to be improved but once you get a bit used to it its usable.

For lightning Phoenix won't work best as it limits the max hodl invoice duration. Works best with Blink Wallet (custodial tough), or Blixt Wallet

Clearnet does not allow trading afaik, its only for demonstration purposes

Also you probably need to set safety level of Tor Browser on Standard (lowest), as the other ones block the necessary JavaScript stuff

my guess is that's the problem, and why vanilla brave runs it nicely, you have to disable javascript manually in brave, and you can do it but it breaks everything except most darkweb sites

brave has a tor client built into it, as well as extensive antifingerprinting/tracking protections

i didn't even know robosats had a clearnet site...
