Either you let anyone say exactly what they want or you don’t
“Hate speech” is often defined by someone’s opinion
Who are they so say what is right or wrong today?
An everlasting ethical discussion no doubt
Nostr is cool because it doesn’t discriminate at all
As a user the next step is to be better at curating
The individual vs the collective playing out in yet another area…
And the freedom of speech in Nostr is an example for the real world free market if the Bitcoin standard adopt. People here are just nicer because they want others to be nice with them as well.
With out rules and regulations, communities just take care of it owns and the trolls will be muted 😄
Yes, especially with the rise of bots / "AI", social media is going to be all about the filters. Closed / centralized platforms obviously make filters that suit them rather than their users. But on nostr we will evolve open-source filtering that is explicitly chosen by users and designed to achieve their curation.
Yet another reason why nostr is the future of everything..
